PD Dr. Damian A. Fischer LL.M. is organizing a conference on «Conflicts of Interest: Law & Best Practice» in the renowned seminar series of the Europa Institute of the University of Zurich on October 4, 2022, and will also be a speaker and moderator at this conference. At the first event, issues relating to related party transactions will be examined from various angles by top-class experts from academia and practice. The event is aimed at executives, corporate in-house counsel, lawyers and other legal advisors, fiduciaries and other interested persons who are involved in related party transactions or who would like to further their education in this area.

Starting from the fall semester 2021, PD Dr. iur. Damian A. Fischer will also be lecturer in the MBA continuing education programs of the Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of Zurich. In the CAS in Advanced Management, he will be teaching the block «Legal Responsibilities at Management Board/Board of Directors-Level and Compliance».

An undertaking that has got into financial difficulties must be restructured within the framework of applicable law. The required reorganization measures differ depending on the nature and extent of the financial difficulties. Several restructuring stages can be distinguished in the course of increasing financial difficulties of undertakings. These can provide guidance in the search for a suitable restructuring concept in individual cases. In addition to current stock corporation law, future stock corporation law will also be taken into account in the following explanations.

RUOSS VÖGELE publishes a new bulletin on improved protection against unjustified debt collection. On 1 January 2019, revised provisions of the Federal Law on Debt Collection and Bankruptcy entered into force, which enable debtors to have unjustified entries in the debt collection register deleted resp. withdrawn from the inspection rights of third parties in an uncomplicated and inexpensive procedure (available only in German).
